Planning a wedding is exciting, but it can be hard work too. Not many of us are wedding and event planners, and it can be difficult to know where to start. How much will everything cost? What percentage of the budget should you allocate to the venue, the rings, floristry and so on? Our wedding budget calculator has been designed to make planning your wedding as easy as possible.
Our wedding budget calculator lists everything out for you, allocating average percentages of spend to each element. Simply add your total wedding budget to the spreadsheet and it will calculate approximately how much that budget you should consider spending on each part. It really couldn’t be simpler!

Even if you choose to marry in a venue that hosts weddings week in, week out, it’s the theming and décor, floristry, food, drink and entertainment options that shape your special day and give it its own unique flavour.
The wedding budget calculator
Our wedding budget calculator lists every ingredient out for you, splitting your total wedding budget by suggested percentage per element, and giving you an actual figure (in £s) that you should expect to spend on it.
You can even add in your own estimated costs alongside, to see how the figures match up!
For example: Wedding stationary, covering everything from invitations to menus, save the date cards and table planners. Our wedding budget calculator suggests an overall cost for wedding stationary but allows you to add in the estimated costs for each of the sub ingredients too.
At the end of the wedding stationary section, you’ll see a sub total for your estimated spend, alongside the suggested budget allocation figure.
We’ve included and actual costs column too. This way you can update the spreadsheet as you go along; keeping tabs on your actual spend and making sure that things don’t get wildly off track. It’s a wedding after all and its easy to get carried away!

One couple’s perfect wedding band may be another’s worst nightmare! And personality matters too. You need to make sure that you click with your caterer, wedding coordinator or contact at the venue. If your personalities clash, then the build up to the big day, and potentially the big day itself, could be a disaster.
