Frame tent marquees: Beautiful contemporary spaces
Perfect for creating modern and contemporary spaces, yet frame tent marquees make fantastic traditional wedding and event venues too.
Interestingly, frame tent marquees are also known as ‘Clear span’ marquees; the term ‘clear span’ referring to the uninterrupted space within the marquee – because frame tents do not require the internal support poles that come with traditional pole tents. This means that a frame tent is the perfect blank canvas for all types of events!
Frame tents: Key points
- Beautiful, contemporary spaces
- Versatile, adaptable structures
- Can be used all year around
- Can be used on hard surface or lawns
- No internal obstructions
- Works with raised wooden flooring systems
- Marquee height can be varied throughout the structure
- Require internal lining: Creates an attractive aesthetic and hides internal, structural metal work
- Combines easily with other marquee structures – such as Pagoda marquees
- Solid plastic sides can be added to frame tent marquees
- Glass windows and doors can be used with frame tents
- Clear roof panels and gable ends can be added
- Suitable for creating house extension marquees
- Do not require guy ropes (smaller footprint than a traditional pole marquee)
Modular structures, adaptable spaces
Frame tents are the most flexible, adaptable and tailorable type of marquee. Their modular design offers up a wide variety of size and shape options. We offer frame tents in widths of either six, nine or twelve metres, the length of a frame tent marquee is made up of multiples of three metre lengths – so in theory, there’s no maximum length for a frame tent!
Due to their modular design, we can even add extra marquee sections to the side of the main marquee to create dedicated spaces for caterers, break out areas, bars, meeting spaces and more. Because there are no guy ropes, we can add attractive features such as pagoda marquees, which are ideal for creating beautiful marquee entrances, receptions spaces and cloakroom areas.
Clear marquees, glass windows and doors
We can create entirely clear marquees or, more practically, partially clear marquees, creating a wonderful design aesthetic that will take your guests breath away!
Due to their aluminium frame work, it’s easy to add glass window panels and lockable glass and PVC doors to frame tents. Clear PVC windows, gable ends and roof panel sections are also a popular choice.
Consider your choice of clear panels carefully. Dependent upon the time of year, completely clear roof panels may not be feasible. Can you imagine seating your guests in a greenhouse on the hottest day of the year? Partially clear roof sections are a popular and more practical choice. Why not add in some roof sails? Sails stretched across the roof space create a stunning effect – especially when they are lit up bu LED spotlights after dark!
