Party at home

What better location for a personal celebration than your own home? Of course the issue here could be one of space. Don’t worry, there are two distinct and viable marquee solutions available.

Marquee house extension

Marquee house extensions fit directly to your home, connecting almost seamlessly. They create addition space that allows guests to flow freely from one space to the next. Marquee extensions can be small or large depending upon your requirement. They can be heated, lit, themed and styled to create a unique and fun party space. The addition of an extension marquee becomes a feature of your event and an interesting talking point too!

Stand alone marquee

Alternatively, hold your party in a freestanding marquee away from the house but in your own garden. Marquees are surprisingly flexible and can be designed to fit into a variety of spaces that you may not have even considered. Holding your 40th birthday party in a marquee means that you’ll be able to style and theme the space to suit your personality. You’ll also be able to choose your own bands, caterers, bar and – perhaps most importantly, your party hours!

Find a great venue

If you don’t fancy having a marquee at home then why not look for a venue instead? Find a quirky and interesting space in a location that’s great for your guests too. You might want to consider accommodation; do they offer it on site? Is there alternative accommodation near by? How about transport links? Parking? The availability of taxis?

Many venues provide a beautiful backdrop for marquees too. Some venues may have limited function room capacity; if you truly love the place then why not see if they allow marquees on site? We work at a variety of amazing venues and would be happy to help you find one that is perfect for you.

Use an event planner

Event planners may seem like a frivolous and unnecessary expense but they can be worth their weight in gold. If you have a busy lifestyle then you may not have the time, or even the headspace to deal with all of the time consuming and relatively dull aspects of planning an event. An event planner can do all of the groundwork and present the results to you for you to make the final decisions.

An event planner will also have a network of tried and tested, trusted suppliers that they can recommend for your event. Taking the stress and worry out of sourcing bands, caterers, bar staff, florists and so on that you’ve never worked with before.

But it’s also worth noting that – although we are not ‘event planners’ as such – we do organise many of the aspects you’d require for your event as part of the marquee hire and build process; hiring furniture, sourcing or recommending suppliers, coordinating third party suppliers as they interact with the marquee build process…. Style, theme and decorate your party space

Have a theme. This doesn’t have to mean fancy dress, but it could! At the very least it will give you a centralised theme or colour palette around which to build the party. It might even help your guests to decide how they’ll dress.

Floristry always makes a space special. It decorates dull corners and brings life and interest to tables and other spaces. Lighting is vital. Get the lighting wrong and the atmosphere could fall flat; there are lots of incredible lighting effects, from LED colour change uplights, to sparkly star cloth ceilings, wall projections and more.
