If you have previous experience of Lifestyle marquees you’ll probably be very aware that choosing a selection of our preferred suppliers results in an event that runs smoothly. If you haven’t, you may well cast a glance at our supplier directory and wonder why you should bother considering using any of them and whether it will really make that much difference to your event.

We only recommend suppliers who work to the same high standards we demand of ourselves as a company. We don’t just list suppliers we happen to like and get along with. More important is the quality of service provided and a willingness to work as part of a bigger team to deliver an incredible experience on the day. In recommending others Lifestyle marquees puts its own reputation at stake, so our supplier relationships are based on trust, reliability and experience of working together.

It’s a winning combination that has proved effective time and time again. But as well as working together to deliver spectacular events, there is more that goes on behind the scenes to develop strong relationships. And our regular networking event has quickly become the perfect opportunity to meet and mingle with suppliers, exchange ideas, discuss future bookings and get to know each other better.

Held four to five times a year, our latest event took place in the grounds of Loseley Park. We took over the very charming Tithe Barn and extended the space using a frame tent extension marquee with clear roof panels, window walls and clear gable ends. Lighting with Intent  installed wonderfully atmospheric purple LED lighting within the marquee, which acted as a welcoming beacon for guests arriving in the dark.

Caterers Caper & Berry operate the Tithe Barn on behalf of the owners of Loseley Park, so they naturally provided the catering on the night. Before entering the barn, guests were greeted by a chef offering slices of delicious pizza – from the side of a Land Rover Defender! Specially adapted to house a stone-baked pizza oven, this quirky pop-up food station is great for feeding hungry guests late at night. Inside the barn, Caper & Berry then ably

demonstrated their culinary skills with a selection of beautiful canapés and bowl food – from bite-sized quail eggs topped with bacon butter and crispy pancetta to handmade potato gnocchi served in miniature saucepans with arrabiata sauce, baby basil leaves and shavings of Parmesan cheese. A drinks bar was set up in the marquee extension and, within the barn space, a number of tables were set up and dressed by event styling, crockery, glassware and accessory hire company Couvert to show how the barn might look at a wedding breakfast.

As guests chatted with each other, photographer Ginny Marsh, captured images of the evening – it was great to see so many happy, smiling faces and lots of animated conversation! To add to the atmosphere, Lemon Entertainment kindly provided live music in the form of Tom, a harpist who has worked with Florence and the Machine, no less, and multi-instrumentalist Jay Marsh.

What’s remarkable about these events is the willingness and enthusiasm shown by our suppliers. Those contributing on the evening treat the networking event just as they would a wedding or corporate function – the stakes possibly feel even higher when the guests are all specialists within the events industry! And then there is everyone who is keen to attend on the night, even after a busy day at work – almost 150 people at our latest event! Even better, is seeing caterers deep in

conversation, lighting specialists swapping ideas, competitors in the ‘real world’ who all understand the importance of working together.
