As party venues go, it’s hard to beat a marquee.
Whilst there are lots of different party venues available to hire; from stately homes to hotel function rooms, nightclubs and village halls, what could be better than creating a bespoke party space at your own home?

Tailored party venues
We’ve already mentioned just how flexible marquee party venues can be, but what exactly does that mean?
For starters, whilst brick and mortar venues offer a set party space, every marquee is individually designed and built to match the location, the type of event and the wishes of the client.
There’s no set format. Of course, you can create one huge party space. But if you want to divide your marquee up into separate areas, you can. You can even add reveal curtains that hide exciting surprises -such as stages – from your guests, revealing them at just the right time for a real wow factor moment!
Create chill out zones, areas for kids, games rooms, receptions spaces, cloakrooms and even luxury powder rooms and toilets. The sky is the limit, if you can dream it, and have the right budget, then we can build it.
Set the scene: Lighting and AV
With marquee party venues the choice of lighting and AV scheme is down to you. Your marquee supplier should be able to advise on great schemes to suit your theme. They should also be able to set up your lighting and AV, or source a supplier that can do so on their behalf.
Inside
Lighting within a marquee can be dramatic, and it can change throughout the event too.. There are lots of choices available and your marquee supplier will be able to discuss the many options with you.
These can range from simple but effective static lighting schemes through to operator controlled set ups that change throughout the evening, moving with the mood of your event.
Outside
OutsideLighting and AV schemes really set the scene for marquee parties. Lighting isn’t simply restricted to the inside of the marquee either. You can light up the outside of the marquee, garden features, trees, statuary and even buildings.
And why not light up the path to the marquee too? After all, a great event starts the moment that guests arrive at the gates.
Theming and styling
A marquee is a blank canvas for your ideas. The theming and styling is different from event to event and no two marquee set ups are ever the same!
Before you even get down to adding the finishing touches you can set the scene with a choice of different marquee elements and features. Choose from a multitude of different wall and ceiling lining options.
Decide whether you’d like to add dramatic and beautiful see-through roof and wall panels. 
Opt for glass doors and windows or simple canvas panels. And when it comes to flooring, you can stick with grass for a rustic look and feel, or choose from matted, carpeted or boarded flooring options.
Floristry works brilliantly within a marquee setting and really brings the outside in. Marquees allow for roof installations such as hanging trellises and ladders. And if you opt for a traditional pole marquee, then why not wrap the poles with floral displays?
Don’t worry if that all sounds like a lot of planning and work. There are lots of party and event planners available and they are magicians when it comes to transforming marquee spaces!
House extension party venues
If you’d love to host your party at home but don’t feel that you have quite enough space for all of your guests, then why not add an extension marquee to your home?
Extension marquees can be as big or as small as needed. They can simply offer some additional space for dining, or they can host the dancefloor and DJ, be used as a chill out and lounging space, or to create a luxury dining space – complete with caterers area too.
