The Brief
Create marquee based, COVID-19 safe changing rooms and canteen spaces to replace/augment existing facilities. Provide suitable spaces for twenty Brentford Football Club staff and players to safely use at any one time. Long term hire: 6 months +
The Challenges
- Existing changing and canteen facilities too small to allow COVID-19 safe use by both first and second teams, causing logistical difficulties and problems with training schedules.
- Gazebo tent solution used during the summer months not viable during winter months.
- The club required COVID-19 safe dining facilities, close to existing canteen and with views of training pitches, plus a changing room marquee with quick, easy access to training facilities.
The Solution
Lifestyle marquees provided two marquees for long term hire. A 12M x 6M changing room marquee and a 27M x 3M canteen marquee (built on a 3.6M wide concrete path outside existing canteen).
Both marquees featured:
- Hard wooden flooring with charcoal carpet
- Separate entry and exit points
- Lockable UPVC double doors with glass windows
- Thermostatically controlled heating systems
- Lighting and electrical points
27M x 3M canteen marquee, additional features:
- Drilled anchor points in concrete path for secure, safe marquee use in all weather conditions
- Perspex screens to allow safe dining in accordance with government guidance
- A fully regulatable, thermostatically and timer-controlled heating system, delivering warm air heating via a duct mounted in the marquee roof
- Clear window wall panels to allow views of the training fields and canteen spaces
